The SOE's task was to organise the resistance in countries that had been occupied by the Nazis and as Churchill ordered, to 'Set Europe Ablaze'. It is a fascinating account of the training and preparation the agents underwent and also stories of a few of the missions, some of which achieved amazing success, whilst other agents were betrayed!

Plant Sale

Open Studios Art Trail

Local artist, Susie Olford, will be exhibiting in the Open Studios Art Trail with her Venue in Hoe Lane, Flansham, PO22 8NJ. Easy to browse exhibition in a light filled barn with wheelchair access. About 120 paintings will be displayed over 2 weekends, 4th, 5th, 6th May, and 11-12th May 2019. Look out for the Green Arrow direction signs. Oils & acrylics sized from six inches square, and up to 1 metre wide. Free admission, open 1030-1730 incl. Bank Holiday Monday. Enjoy colourful, expressionist paintings with wonderful skies and moods of land, sea and weather but not sad moods!

Chichester Open Studio Art Trail 2019 (including our villages)

The 2019 Open Studios Art Trail sees 160 artists exhibiting a wide range of work across 127 Venues in and around the City of Chichester, Bognor Regis and surrounding areas during the first two weekends in May.

Venues are open from 10.30 am - 5.30pm

Visitors can explore one Trail at a time: City, Downs, Harbour, Peninsula and Regis, or hop around Venues as they choose. The Regis trail includes all villages from Tangmere to Fontwell and Walberton, Pagham to Elmer and all areas in between.

Walberton Open Gardens

This bi-annual event is a feature of Walberton village life, raising funds for local charities and enabling gardeners to showcase their gardens.

Felpham Beach Cleans

Would you like to help maintain our beautiful and well used beach? The Felpham Village Conservation Society is organising regular Felpham beach cleans which will be held every second Saturday of the month. We meet outside the sailing club at 10.30 am and all are welcome – members and non-members. You will be provided with bin bags and litter pickers, although you may want to bring your own gloves. Our thanks also goes to the Lobster Pot who have kindly agreed to offer a free cup of tea or coffee to volunteers after their hard work.

Bognor Old Town Artisan Markets

27th April, 20th July, 14th September, 23rd November 2019
The first market took place on 12th September 2015. It bought together local Artisan’s offering crafts, jewellery, food products, clothing and music was available to entertain visitors. Up until 2016 the market was held three times a year. In 2017 the first Christmas market was added to the line-up. It was a resounding success and now we have four markets a year April, July, September and our very popular Christmas market in November.
