Art and Illusion at Arundel Museum

Talk by Ian Gledhill
Tuesday 12th June at 7.30 pm
The story of stage scenery from Sophocles to Spiderman!
Theatre was invented by the Greeks, and the talk look at how the staging of plays has developed since then, through the discovery of perspective right down to modern lighting effects.
Ian Gledhill was at one time a professional stage designer, and the talk will include a look at some of his work and practical demonstrations of simple stage illusions.

Fabio Zanon Classical Guitarist Recital

West Sussex Guitar Club has great pleasure in hosting a recital by one of its patrons, world renowned Brazilian classical guitarist Fabio Zanon at the Regis School of Music, 46 Sudley Road, Bognor Regis, PO21 1ER on Saturday 26th May at 7.30pm. In 1996 he won both the Guitar Foundation of America Competition in the USA and the Tarrega Competition in Spain. Fabio has a busy concert schedule in three continents and has played in the Royal Festival Hall and Wigmore Hall in London, the Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.

Open Studios Art Trail

Art Exhibition in Flansham, part of Open Studios Art Trail (Venue 26). Displayed in a spacious barn on 5th, 6th & 7th May (B/H Monday) and 12th and 13th May 2018. Oil and Acrylic paintings (c.120 in total) by local artist, Susie Olford. Sizes range from 3inch to 3feet, colours and moods to suit your wall space. Open 1030 until 1730. Arundel Art Society

Arundel Art Society celebrates 40 years of exhibiting in Arundel with their latest display from talented local artists. The Exhibition will be held at the Norfolk Centre, Mill Road, Arundel, BN18 9PA from Saturday 19th to Friday 25th May 2018, open from 1000 until 1700 daily. There will be work in the popular mediums: oil, acrylic or watercolour, but also work in pastel, charcoal, pencil and poured paint. The Art Society meets weekly in Clymping Church Hall.
