Chichester Film & Video Makers

Chichester Film & Video Makers (CFVM) is a group of enthusiastic amateurs committed to the art of film making.

The aim of our club is to encourage an interest, enjoyment and appreciation of film and video production as a medium of information, education and entertainment, as well increasing the knowledge and technical ability of our members. So, don’t worry if you don’t know too much about the technical processes that go in to film-production. For us, it is really about getting involved, having fun and learning at the same time.

Whether you have a camcorder, DSLR, a smartphone or no camera at all, it doesn't matter. It’s not just what happens behind the camera that is important to us, we want people in front of camera, too. So, if you are an actor, screenwriter or just want to be part of the film crew, come along and see us.

Our membership ranges from beginner to advanced level. Our programme of club evenings is varied throughout the year, to meet the needs of members. The programme is made up of talks from Club members and guest speakers as well; practical workshops and several club competitions.
As well as competing in the internal Club competitions, members often enter films videos in external events such as Regional and National Film Festivals, some venturing into the International arena.

The club is actively involved in the community with other local organisations and charities, working together to make first class productions.

If you are interested in finding out more about the Club and what we do, you are very welcome to come along to one of our evenings.

We meet, every other Wednesday, at St Pancras Church Hall, Tozer Way, Chichester, West Sussex, PO19 7LH.

You can also see full details of the club, and just some of what we get up to, by visiting our website – www.cfvm.org.uk.
